No One – 1/1/2015

Okay, so the page is still not fixed, and like I said before, I’ll be revamping everything in the coming months. However, my stream of consciousness continues to chatter, so here are my latest thoughts.

No one decides what is right or wrong, good or bad, beautiful or ugly, no one. It is because no ‘one’ sets what the collective believes. It is the opinions of varied cultures that dictate what is acceptable or unacceptable. A basic example of this would be in the context of what is considered beautiful. Imagine, if you will, that you are on a planet where having a body of excess volume is considered the height of beauty and that if you are thin you are considered ugly. Now, really go with me to this world. Everywhere you look you see images of fat, cellulite, and rolls of lard linked to the highest esteem of fame and fortune. When you go to school, if you are thin you are teased and bullied. Fat is perfection. On this world you are applauded for being heavy. All movie and media personalities are large and in charge. Stores cater to the plus size; finding clothes to fit a thin body is next to impossible. You are taught that in order to be a part of society you really need to achieve maximum size, otherwise the doors to success will never open. Okay, so you are thin on this world, where thick is the norm, how do you feel? For some of you reading this it is probably hard to imagine such a place, because the brainwashing of culture is so deeply ingrained that the possibility of a world where fat is beautiful seems ridiculous.

So why write this? What is the purpose? It is to open the mind. Many of the things that we are taught to believe are not true. They are true only in the sense that you believe them while incarnate on this planet. Now I realize that on the above scenario you could say, “Well, that is a dumb example, because it is medically proven that being thinner promotes better health, therefore it equates with beauty.” However, in my example, I could say, “On that planet, dying young is the goal. End your life fat and youthful.” Of course this may seem plain silly, but is it? Say for example you lived in a place where driving fast is the law and that you are ticketed for going slow? Or a place where demons are considered holy and angels are evil. And the ideas don’t have to be the opposite for what is here on Earth, because right now some people are brought up to believe that Satan is king and God is the force to oppose. And some are certain that there is no God or Satan at all.

My point? Reality is subject to how the soul views life and functions while in its vessel. Or if you don’t believe you have a soul then how about, how a conscious mind processes information into its brain? The underlying message is that every human on this planet is molded to the parameters in which they are raised. If you are brought up believing that to shave your face or cut your hair is a sin, then you will most likely see others who engage in the practice as sinful. Reality itself can be questioned; perhaps all that is going on here is a computer simulation in a machine for the entertainment of a viewer. But let’s say for the sake of argument that it’s not. What might help all of us come together is to realize that while you are here, no matter what your belief, how you choose how to view things is up to you. It’s almost hard to comprehend. You may agree or disagree, but at the end of the day if you want to believe the sky is purple when everyone else says the sky is blue, inside your own mind the sky can be what you want it to be. Who made up blue anyway? Does that help you see? Reality is like a blank canvas, where you are the artist with the paint and the brush.

Anyway, as the new year starts (time, which is also a made up construct, physicists be damned) it is my hope that in some way human beings living on this globe will wake up to find a spark of the Divine, so that in this reality we can find a way to cross a threshold that is undefinable, because less war and more peace would be a nice change. Well, at least it is in my reality, how about in yours?
