An Angel – 4/20/14

What is an angel? Is there such a thing or is it the light that shines in all of us? Some humans, more than others, seem to exude an eternal quality of joy. What I find remarkable is when someone afflicted by physical impairments appears unaware that what they face is anything other than normal. I have the gift of knowing of such a person, a child in fact, his name is Lukas. Though the meeting took place only once, and when he was still a baby, I can tell you that I have never met a fellow traveler that is so remarkable. Being in his presence is almost like being touched by the hand of God. Perhaps that sounds extreme, but I’m telling you that there is something divine in the energy of this child.

I write today, because it’s like I’m being pulled to share him with the world. You see, Lukas had a brain tumor that wrapped around his pituitary stalk. Upon its removal came a host of other medical issues. I will not go into that here. However, I would like to direct you to a link that will tell you something about what he has been through and what he will be facing for the rest of his life. https://healthdonor.com/campaigns/genetic-testing-for-lukas/ – please if you’ve never clicked a link before, click this one. See the smile that is sure to touch your heart and perhaps, if you are so inclined, you will add support to help him continue his journey.

The reason he is so important to all of us is because he is a reflection of love. Love of life and what it means for any of us to be here at all. The fight in the soul that is Lukas is amazing. When you hear of miracles and people overcoming life and death scenarios, he is right up there with them. Does one life make a difference? In my book it does. Often we look at situations like this as tragic and sad, but what if we could view it as a blessing in disguise. What if he came here to bring together people who might never consider what it means to give? What if it is his mission is to unite us? Or if he is to be the one case in a million that will turn the tide in a medical treatment that will make it possible for others to thrive.

None of us really know if there is a master plan. But what I do know is that sometimes you meet a person that is so beautiful that your life is forever altered by that meeting. Lukas Howell is an angel that brings grace to this earth in the guise of a little boy.

I think the link has expired, because the fund raiser for Lukas was over two years ago. I’m not sure why that blog post went out again, because I personally did not resend it. Weird. A few months ago I had trouble with Word Press and I lost my list of subscribers, so I don’t who will even receive new blogs. You might want to update your subscription on the home page of the website. Nice to hear from you!

Can you check the link. I can’t access it. Not sure if it’s me or the link. Thanks, Kim.

Initially, I believed your headline was misleading, but you actually delivered. Nice job.
